

Walk Leaders Training in Penrith – Tues 11th December 2018
This Walk Leaders training has been devised to incorporate a DS Active module, providing extra information about people with Down’s Syndrome and the additional support they may require.
This is the First time training has incorporated this module, DS Active will be attending the event. Any community groups wanting to set DSActive affiliated walking for health groups up in their area, please contact Kelly.alty@cumbria.gov.uk to secure a training place. Thank you.

Times: 09:30 (arrival – tea/coffee) 09:45 (start), 15:30 (finish)
Venue: Frenchfield Sports Centre, Carleton, Penrith, CA11 8UU
The day is being organised in partnership with Active Cumbria, Cumbria Down's Syndrome Support Group. and DSActive.
The training is being delivered by Walking for Health through Active Cumbria. There is no charge for attending the training. In return, it is asked that you intend to shortly lead Walking for Health accredited walks in your area or for your organisation.

Additional Information: As the day will include a short demonstration health walk please bring comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions!
Refreshments will be provided on the day i.e. Tea, Coffee, Water etc, but please bring a packed lunch. Please let us know in advance if you have any particular learning or access needs.
