Salsa for Charity are kindly hosting an event in Sunderland to raise funds for Down's Syndrome North East & Cumbria Downs Syndrome Support Group.

The event will be on Friday July 20th

Fundraising for Down's Syndrome North East which covers Northumberland, Tyneside, Wearside, Durham and Teesside, and we're also fundraising for Cumbria Down's Syndrome Support Group which provides help for families throughout Cumbria.

We are having a beginner's lesson because we expect quite a few newcomers and I hope the midnight finish will attract a lot more salsa dancers to travel here from around the North East and Cumbria.

There is a 42 feet x 16 feet sprung dance floor and a lovely bar area adjoining the main dance area so come along and support these great charities!

We met with Salsa In Cumbria to have a cheque presented to us on behalf of Salsa for Charity.

Paul Atkinson, the mind behind Salsa for Charity has raised thousands for different Charities and Causes over the years, thus far totalling over £10,000 given to different causes.

Cumbria Down's Syndrome Support Group and Down's Syndrome North East were lucky enough to be chosen as last months good cause, donations were split between the two groups with a cheque for £300 being presented to CumbriaDSSG by Richard and Angela from Salsa In Cumbria, the Tutors who gave up their time for the fundraising night.

We can not thank Paul enough for choosing us, Richard & Angela for giving up their time to travel to Sunderland and be tutors on the night and to everyone who joined in & donated on the night!
